Jacquelyn Meshelemiah

Associate Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion
Jacquelyn C.A. Meshelemiah is the Associate Vice Provost (AVP) for Diversity and Inclusion at The Ohio State University. She is also the Director of Leadership Initiatives for Women of Color in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and an Associate Professor in the College of Social Work. She is the author and co-author of numerous publications, presentations, and trainings on social justice, anti-trafficking, and human rights at the university, local, national, and international levels. She has taught exclusively online for the last six years; created an iTunes course in 2013; and offered a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) through Coursera in 2014 on human trafficking that resulted in 32,200 enrollees in 187 nations. In 2019, she co-authored an open textbook on human trafficking.  Professional travels have taken her to over half of the United States as well as to Africa, Asia, Central America, and Europe in her capacity as a visiting scholar, presenter, and researcher. She is passionate about engaging in discourses on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
