Dr. Samantha “Sam” Shields currently works as an Instructional Consultant in Texas A&M University’s Center for Teaching Excellence, where her main role is facilitating the Program (Re)Design process with programs interested in taking a deep dive into their existing curriculum or in creating a new program. Sam is passionate about working with faculty to transition their pedagogical paradigms into those that incorporate rich evidence-based, innovative pedagogies that engage and motivate students to take an active role in their learning.
