Jessica Bastian is the Digital Services Librarian at Illinois Central College (ICC). Jessica enjoys teaching research and information literacy skills, encouraging digital fluency among faculty and staff, and sparking curiosity in students. Jessica received her Master's of Library & Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2014. In addition, she holds a Master of Science in Political Science from Illinois State University (2010), with an emphasis on global politics and culture.
Jessica serves on many committees at ICC, including the Online Learning Committee, Textbook/Open Educational Resources Committee, the Shared Governance Task Force, and is the vice-chair of the Intercultural Diversity Committee. She also helps to coordinate the annual community college library conference, ForwardFocus.
Jessica served on the City of Peoria’s Advisory Committee on Police and Community Relations (2014-2019). She is an alum of Peoria Chamber of Commerce’s Community Leadership School (2014).
